We will host Indoor Tryouts for those would want to be considered for Legacy Teams.
 If you already know you want to join the Academy Program, you can register directly — no tryout needed!

At the conclusion of tryouts, players will be placed on either a Legacy Team or an Academy Team.

 EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS

All players must have the correct gear to participate:

•  Indoor stick (no outdoor sticks allowed — we do NOT have any to lend)
•  Court shoes
•  Shinguards
•  Mouthguard
•  Left glove with closed fingers (right glove highly recommended)

LEGACY VS. ACADEMY — WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE?

 LEGACY TEAMS

• Compete at the highest regional and national levels
• Playing time not guaranteed for qualifying events
• Train 2x per week
• Participate in multiple play days, NIQs, and NITs
• Tryouts: December 3 & 4, 2025

Training Schedule:
 Tuesdays & Thursdays | Dec 9 – mid/late Feb

• U12: 4:30–6:00 PM
• U14: 4:30–6:15 PM
• U16: 5:45–7:15 PM
• U19: 7:00–8:30 PM

 ACADEMY TEAMS

• Compete locally and regionally
• Equal playing time guaranteed
• Train 1x per week
• Participate in 2 weekend play days

Training Schedule:
 Wednesdays | Dec 10 – Feb 11

• U10, U12 & U14: 4:30–6:00 PM
• U16 & U19: 5:45–7:15 PM Play Days: @ Duke & @ Sweet Briar

 Note: The U10 program is intended for experienced 7-, 8-, and 9-year-olds who are ready for the challenge and fun of indoor hockey!

 

PARKING: Parking is VERY limited due to construction so please drop off in front of Brodie Gym or park on Broad Street and walk across the street.

FACILITY NOTE: No parents or spectators allowed during any Bull City indoor event - only players & coaches.

 

Winter Indoor Season will once again be hosted at Brodie Gym on Duke’s East Campus!

Indoor Age Guidelines:
U19: 18 or under as of 8/1/25
U16 : 15 or under as of 8/1/25
U14 : 13 or under as of 8/1/25
U12: 11 or under as of 8/1/25
